The promotion of the Holosophic idea and lifestyle throughout Europe and Africa, as well as coordinating and supporting all activities related is the mission of the HSI.
The Holosophic idea promotes knowledge about and opportunities to practically experience the advancement of well-being on the level of body, mind and soul to all interested.
The development of the strategies to spread the Holosophic idea and lifestyle, as well as the coordination of their implementation, is the task of the Holosophic Society International, hereby supported by a consultative international decision making process in which its national organizations are the main stakeholders.
The national Holosophic societies are largely autonomous in carrying out the agreed campaign, activity and project strategies within the local context they operate and in seeking the necessary financial support from donors to fund this work.
The HSI gives advice and support (financially and human resources) to enable the local societies to carry out the practical work. This includes but is not limited to:
- supporting the promotion and organization of lectures and seminars on the subject of natural and wholesome living which includes but is not limited to: meditation, sustainable and environmental friendly approaches and projects, organic gardening, vegetarian food, promotion of multicultural exchange, etc….
- supporting national and local centers operated by Holosophic organizations
- supporting the organization and implementation of all projects and activities aligned to the Holosophic vision
- supporting the publication and distribution of media about Holosophic themes
The respective support is mainly organized and implemented as project support, the projects owner send regular reports which are scrutinized by the board.
The HSI also organizes large international multi-cultural events to bring people together for common good and organizes lectures and / or other activities and distributes publications in countries without an Holosophic organization.
The Holosophic Society International as well as its national organizations receive funding through donations and subscriptions.
Many people volunteer their time to work idealistically and freely for the society´s many different projects and activities which are generally provided free of charge to visitors and participants.
The national Holosophic societies are the stakeholders of the HSI; the delegates of the national organizations take seat in the General Assembly.
The General Assembly of the HSI elects the board of directors and decides about the overall strategies.
The board of directors establishes and divides the yearly budget and reports to the General Assembly at the yearly gathering of the Assembly. The board of directors is responsible for the daily operations of the HSI.
The HSI board provides the financial and activity report yearly to the Dutch authorities.
