Objectives of the HSI
1. The aims and objectives of the Society as a charitable and umbrella organisation are, within the scope of public welfare, to promote and coordinate national societies, associations and other institutions with similar or related aims and objectives and as such, recognised by the board, in regards to the benefit of the overall well-being of man’s body, mind and soul by conveying theoretical and practical knowledge of:
a) natural food;
b) natural life style;
c) methods and therapies of self-introspection, of meditation and of concentration, promoting physiological and psychological health.
2. The society is a non-profit association by definition of the tax code. The financial resources of the Society can only be used for the aims and objectives set forth herein. The aims and objectives of the Society is an exclusively charitable one. No one person shall be favoured through unusually high allowances or expenses not justified by the aims and objectives of the Society. The membership status does not entitle members to receive payments or other allowances. The members of the board serve in an honorary capacity. Reimbursement of expenses is permitted.
3. The Society tries, amongst others, to reach its aims and objectives by means of:
b) financial contributions;
c) transfer of know-how;
d) international actions to support the activities of the national societies and non-profit institutions, such as:
aa. to sponsor lectures;
bb. to advertise and promote said lectures, courses and seminars in the media;
cc. to establish, maintain and promote centres dedicated to the aims and objectives set forth herein;
dd. to help the needy and handicapped to take advantage of the programmes;
ee. to promote all activities serving the aims and objectives of the Society in the Netherlands and abroad, while offering the foregoing without restrictions to the public, regardless of race, gender, nationality, political orientation, social standing, creed, age, education and occupation;
e) all other legal means.
