One of the key activities of the societies is to provide information to all interested. This is mainly done through formal events where people get a chance to explore the ideals of the society as well as get an insight in to the teachings of Sant Mat.
These talks are typically sponsored by the national societies and the HSI takes an active part in sponsoring such events where the level of interest is high and the local groups require additional support.
Each year the HSI organises several workshops in different member countries. The workshops are designed to cover a broad spectrum of topics centered on the Holosophic idea. The scope of the workshops ranges from working with small local groups to large international events.
The international Euro Retreat is by far the largest single event organised by the HSI. Started in 1996 and organised on average every three years, the Euro Retreat attracts more than 2000 attendees from across the world every time it runs.
There are workshops arranged on a range of topics as well as opportunities to participate in many ways to the successful running of the event. The Euro Retreat is a diverse and culturally rich event where attendees meet to share ideas and experiences.
The Euro Retreat is held at the attractive resort of Villagio Marzotto, in Jesolo, Italy situated on the coast by the Mediterranean Sea.
